Bio<\/strong>

Jazz vocalist Danielle Reich enchants audiences with her sultry, classically-informed vocal interpretations of selections ranging from the Great American songbook to French chanson, with plenty of New Orleans trad jazz, jazz manouche, and jazzed pop in the mix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danielle’s unique sound and expansive repertoire make her a highly sought-after performer. She currently sings Prohibition-era trad jazz with Boomtown Brass Band, jazz manouche with Swing Rendezvous, and modern arrangements of standards and originals with Austin-based guitarist, composer, and arranger Bruce Saunders. Danielle also performs with numerous small groups that might incorporate Big Band-era swing, French chanson, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, pop, country, and Western Swing tunes in their set lists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danielle has been featured at festivals including LuluFest Austin (with Bruce Saunders), the Trinity Jazz Festival (Bluebonnet Blossoms), the Manouche NW Concert Series (Nuages), the Houston Composers Salon (with Shawn Renzoh Head), the Austin Jazz Festival (Danielle Reich Trio), Houston Fringe Festival (Relative Dissonance), and the Western Swing Hall of Fame (Lady Be Good).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danielle has released two albums of standards, \u201cThis Year\u2019s Kisses\u201d (recorded in Houston with Carol Morgan, Andrew Lienhard, Seth Paynter, David Craig, and Daleton Lee) and \u201cWhile They Were Dancing\u201d (recorded in Austin with Mitch Watkins, Pat Harris, and Steve Schwelling). She also performed vocals on pianist Peggy Stern\u2019s album of original songs, \u201cShine On,\u201d and on guitarist Russell Scanlon\u2019s album of reinterpreted John Lennon compositions, \u201cUndisclosed Recipients.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
